Strangely or predictably xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the firs discussion was closed. Still nothing was done, no response was given and no real solution was found. So, don't think the discussion is over yet. Let's continue!!!

I think there is no point in complaining as nobody cares.

Hi! just to clarify guys, the old main thread about the new behavior of the Skype Home window was closed not due to topic or issue itself, but due to improper manner of responding by certain users in the last pages of that thread (mods and admins usually do that regardless of what the thread or discussion is all about).
I also started a new thread about that topic and included an introduction and some suggestions there. You can check it if you wish to.
Option to Disable Skype Home Autostart

Actually, if you are going to check the last 2-3 pages of the old thread about this issue, you will see what I mean in my previous reply (In the last page, I even made a prediction that the thread will be closed due to what I observed in the manner of responding by some users).

Well! The first one was closed, but here we can continue discussion!
Yes - As I said - you are free to continue the discussion PROVIDED that the following rule is observed:
"You are expected to maintain a helpful, respectful tone when posting. Opinions are welcome, but they may not escalate into flaming and rudeness against Skype, its staff, other forum members or any other party."
Some contributors don't seem to grasp that.
FAIR WARNING: I'll edit out unacceptable text one more time and, if here are any further violations, the person concerned will have his/her posting ability withdrawn.
Thank you.

Do you think those 2-3 last pages would exist if there is simple "Disable Skype home" checkbox in options menu?
What else should the users do to convince you (meaning Skype staff) that this feature is real pain in the... posterior? They tried to be polite, they brought arguments, complains. It didn't help, so it ended in frustration, invectives and so on.
Skype has little or no competition and it's abusing it - you can do whatever you want with Skype and we have no way how to change it as there is no other service like Skype. Do what you want, but do not expect us to love it :-/
