Delete history for a contact [ Edited ]

i just upgraded to the new version of skype and i would like to know how do u delete the previous history under the contacts

There is not possibility to delete the history for a single contact selectively. You can remove the whole history for all your conversations via the Skype options (last item in the "Tools" menu) -> "Privacy".

If what you want to achive is just clearing the list of your latest conversations simply right-click on the "Conversations" header and select the appropriate menu item.

Hi... I have tried clearing history from the privacy section in preferences... and also clear recents from the conversations section... but nothing seems to delete the conversation history from my account... btw.. I am on 5.2 version of skype for Mac... If anyone know how to clear the history, it would be great.. thanks guys...

I am having the same problem. There is no tools drop down in the menu bar. On my older computer with an old version of Skype, I have the option. Please let us know how to clear the history in the skype screen. If I can't do it in this newest version Skype, I'd rather install an older version than lose that much control over my privacy.
