Custom chat history location auto start problem

I have set my chat history to a different hard drive and added the program shortcut to my auto start folder with the custom command "C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /datapath:"K:\skype logs" /removable

but when I restart my computer and when skype auto starts it goes back the its original location on my main C drive.

Have you remembered to uncheck the option “Start Skype when I start Windows” in Tools -> Options -> General settings?

I am not sure. How do I turn it off? I can't find the option

In Skype go to Tools -> Options -> General Settings.

Sorry. My mistake. After testing this on my computer, I can also see that this option is not available when Skype is started with the /datapath switch.

If you have Skype running on your computer, then Quit Skype.

If you still have the original Skype shortcut on your desktop, i.e. the shortcut which was created by Skype installer, start Skype using this shortcut.

If you don’t have this shortcut anymore, then on your computer open this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\

Double click on the Skype application icon (Skype.exe) in this folder. This should also start Skype without the /datapath switch and the option to start Skype when Windows starts should be available now.
