Hi,
I upgraded to the latest version 5.9.0.115 as proposed by skype and since that, I cannot connect anymore to skype. I already try to reboot my computer, to uninstall and reinstall skype but when I enter my login and password, on the right, the arrow turns for 1 minute and give me the message: sykpe cannot connect.
I have windows 7, Mac Affee, skype 5.9.0.115
On my second computer with an older version, it works fine....
Please Help
Thank's a lot...
Thomas

It is possible that McAfee is blocking access for Skype.

That was the problem! Thank you so much.
Actually, the firewall of MacAffee was blocking skype but that changed during the upgrade of Skype...
Bests.

I had the same problem, but I followed the advice of checking my firewall settings and I was able to get Skype to connect by adding to my list of approved firewall programs. I have Trend Micro, so I clicked on the personal firewall settings, advanced settings, program control, and then I added skype to allow the connection and then it worked!

My Skype stopped working. I have version 5.10. I went thro the Windows unblocking advice, checked the advice about ports, and I also checked my McAfee, which shows no programmes blocked. But no Skype for 3 days. Any further advice please?

Have you also tried to configure McAfee’s Firewall to allow Skype traffic or completely disable it.
