Cant log into Skype

I have windows 7 home premium.. Cant log into skype all I get is a blue screen.. My skype version is 5.8

The problem is with your Internet Explorer and JavaScript.

Followed the instructions from the link ruwim posted.

Now instead of a blue screen i see a white screen.

Skype icon sits below the apps on the downloaded iPad settings screen but does nothing to connect with either wi fi or 3G connection. The Skype download screen shows the app is installed. Any ideas.

What version of Windows are you on? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

 
What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

Is Internet Explorer able to execute JavaScript?
