Cannot make video call

When I click on a contact to make a video call the "Video Call Button" is a faded green and will not activate.

sorry me too i have the same problem now with my skype i can not send or get any video call plesase i need help with this too

The Video Call button is greyed out when the contact selected is offline.  Once that contact comes online the  Video Call button should be bright green and be clickable.

 "video call" box is faint video cannot be activated.

I, too, cannot make a video call--my icon is not bright green (or it's an empty outline), even if the person is online.  AND I have made Skype calls to these people in the past!  I've got the most recent version of Skype, have a new computer--AND my husband (in the next room) CAN make Skype calls from his computer!!  Help!
