Cannot connect to download server

I am trying to install skype to an old laptop, and I am getting the following error message:

"cannot connect to download server"

I have tried IE and chrome, but I get the same message.  I saw an older thread with the same problem, and tried to use the links provided in the thread, but nothing worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this link to download the full installer:

or, if there's a problem with that one, try this:

http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_5.9.0.114.msi

The 5.9.0.114 worked!!  Thank you so much.  I wish I had asked you about 2 hours ago....it would have saved alot of time.
