Can't download skype -- says I must register

My friend is using windows XP trying to download skype it tells him he must register -- but He is already registered?? No matter what he does, have deleted and reinstalled skype many times -- still takes him back to the registration page... 

Please help!!!!!

He has had skype a long time and this makes no sense to me.

Your friend can use this link to download then run the full installer:

http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-full

When the install is complete he'll be able to signin with his existing Skype name and password.
