Black screen please help!

I always use skype and last night I turned my computer on and the login screen was completely black and blank. I restarted it again and it didn't work. I've uninstalled and re-installed + i've updated none of these have worked please help me

Something might be wrong with your Internet Explorer. Can you browse the net using IE?

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.
