Hi!
Is there anyway to disable Skype from autostarting whenever I log in to my account on my computer?
I want to start Skype manually when I want to use it.
Please respond!

Click on Tools > Options > General settings and uncheck "Start Skype when I start Windows."

Hi!
That box is unchecked already - Skype still activates with logging in to my account.
My son aslo uses Skype on the same PC, but it doesn't behave the same way as my account....

If the option “Start Skype when I start Windows” is not selected and Skype still starts when Windows starts, then this most likely means that you have another software installed on your computer which starts with Windows and in turn starts Skype. See e.g. this:

Try this to disable Skype Auto start.
Click Start >> Run >> Type msconfig.exe
In System Configuration, Click Startup >> Untick Skype >> Allow >> OK.
Restart your computer.

Hi.
Found the reason at last.
I've recently installed a Blutooth adapter and in its features there was a "Voip" option that was active. By deactivating this feature Skype didn't start up.
By the way, Skype wasn't in the autostart list in Windows.
Thanks for all your help!
