Since a few days, everytime I sign out from Skype, I can't sign back in. I have to restart my entire laptop before I can sign in again. It says I'm already logged in. Even if I wait half an hour, I can't sign back in, but if I restart my laptop in 5 minutes, I cán log in.
How do I fix this?
Please do a Skype reset:
1. Ensure that "Show hidden files and folders" is switched on.
Click Start and then Run Type "control folders" and click OK. In the View tab, ensure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled
2. Exit Skype : From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click "Quit Skype"
3. Click Start >> Run Type: %appdata% Delete folder "Skype".
4. Re-run Skype

I tried the suggestion but no success. After rebooting skype starts automatically, no problem at all. when I sign out and later want to sign in again I get the skype window white with the skype frame etc, but the field ist completely white. There is nothing to sign in.
The problem started when doing a normal call, not even a video call, after some time I get the activex error message "one or more ActiveX controls could not be displyed ......." and skype ist totally stuck. I can continue talking but i cannot close the window anymore. I signed out and tried to sign in again - just an empty Skype field in white. After rebooting everything is back to normal unless i do another call. then the same thing happens again.
Is there a possibility to create a shortcut with all the sign in information and when it is clicked or double clicked I will be signed in to skype without rebooting?
I checked via Google but did not find any solution regarding this activex error.
Would be nice if someone has a solution for this problem
Regards to all, Bernd
