skype not recognizing webcam--windows

My Logitech webcam is connected to computer and works.  However, in the Skye application, Skype does not see that the webcam is connected to the computer.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skype, but that has not made a difference.

Suggestions?

Re: skype not recognizing webcam--windows

What model webcam?

What version of Skype?  Click on Help > About Skype for the version number.

Click on Tools > Options > Video settings.  Is your webcam showing in  the Webcam box there?  Do you see your own video there?

First check your webcam is listed in Device Manager >> Imaging Devices.

Click Start >> Run >> Type devmgmt.msc

Re: skype not recognizing ligitech webcam (linux)

Tamim, thanks much for your suggestion. The Device Manager shows my logitech camera, gives me the message "Driver missing" and after the computer tries to fix, it gives me the message "Camera doesn't have a driver."

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve
