However, regarding TheUberOverLord, he is one of the best users and his contributions are remarkable. Even if he wasn't yet able to solve the issue, he should be thanked for his trials.

Thanks so much it worked you are a Skype God may God bless you pal. I have spent days trying to find stuff on the net to fix this!! and finally I have!! Thanks again!! Also my Webcam Software for C110 doesn't work it comes up as a blank screen what shall I do?? Saber?/

Ok I finally got the skype to work due to your step by step instructions, now it is up and running but why can't I add contacts?? The screen just comes up bank with blue background!!

Try Below:

 

You may need to reset your Internet Explorer Settings.

 

Here is a Mr. FixIT:

Run This.

 

You may also need to reinstall or repair your Internet Explorer.

Now try running Skype.

Hi Saber,
Thank you for your support to fix the error 2738 with Skype.
After follow your instructions, I could log into my account, but the right side of the screen (tab: Skype Home) does not work. I can only see a semi-circle spinning. However, I can make calls. Earlier in that part of the screen had information. Is there any way to recover the tab: Skype Home. 
By the way, I got the error 2738 with other applications, like Microsoft Fix it.

After follow your instructions, I could log into my account, but the right side of the screen (tab: Skype Home) does not work. I can only see a semi-circle spinning. 

 I guess that you will have issues adding contacts as well, as it is the same issue. The issue is with your Internet Explorer settings. You might be using another browser, but Skype inherits Internet Explorer settings.

 

In order to solve the issue, please press on Run Now button at the following link:
