blue screen cant login

Hi ! 

 

I'm having the problem where I cant login to skype because when I start it, there is nothing in the window except a blue background.

 

After looking on the forum, I found out its an issue with Javascript and Internet Explorer.

 

So I'm using Windows 8 64 bits, IE 10 and skype 6.0.

 

When I try to test Javascript, nothing appears in the results box.

 

Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to fix this?

Try this:

 

Open Command Prompt with "Run as Administrator" mode:

In the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\syswow64 and press Enter.

 

Next type this and then press Enter:

 

regsvr32  jscript.dll

 

Next type this and press Enter:

 

regsvr32  jscript9.dll

 

After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.

 

Reboot your computer.

 

Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.

 

Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE 32-bit version) this page:

 

http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml

 

Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response.

You may try this “legacylogin” workaround. This will enable Skype login using the old legacy login screen, but some other Skype functions may still not work. See e.g. this:

As long as your Internet Explorer is not able to execute JavaScript, Skype will not work properly.

 

JavaScript might be blocked by an Antivirus application installed on your computer or other security software.

Try Below:

 

Give full permissions to "C:\ProgramData\" folder

 

go to C:\ProgramData\ and Right click Skype folder >> then click Properties.

On the security tab, click permissions or Edit. Select the "Everyone" group >> click "Full Control" in the Type of Access List.

 

Select the Replace Permissions on Subdirectories check box. Click OK >> Yes.

 

Restart your PC.

 

Reset IE.

 

Press WinKey + R to open the Run window

WinKey (the button is located between the left Ctrl and Alt with the Windows logo)

Type: iexplore.exe and press Enter

 

In IE, Click Internet Options >> Advanced >> Restore Advanced Settings >> Reset.

Mark Delete personal settings >> OK >> restart.

 

Run the Cleaning Manager Utility

 

Press WinKey + R to open the Run window

 

type: cleanmgr tuneup and press Enter

select the Temp Internet Files boxes and click OK, then Click Delete files.

 

Please Do a Skype Reset.

 

Exit Skype : From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click "Quit"

type: %programdata%\Skype\Apps and press Enter

Rename the folder login to login1.

 

again Press WinKey + R to open the Run window

 

type: %appdata% and press Enter

Now try renaming folder "Skype" to "Old_Skype"

 

Then run Skype.

This happend to me an it all started by logging out of skype and then when i turned my computer on i click the skype app on my start and nothing happened

I tried this and it didn't work. So I resorted to the "legacylogin fix".

 

I can use Skype now but its still annoying me that I can't figure out why javascript doesn't work with IE...

You can try to reset your Internet Explorer to default settings.
