Your New On-Screen advertising

The new practice of putting advertising into the Skpe user page is TERRIBLE.  A user can't even opt out of lookiing at it.  I have spent ten minutes trying to get a message through to Microsoft that this practice seriously erodes the viability of Skype!  Please cease and desist.  At lthe very least you should give the user the opportunity to say no thanks to your partners advertising!!!

Re: Your New On-Screen advertising

Agreed. Whenever I have to sit through an ad for something I make sure to never buy that product or use their service, out of spite.

Re: Your New On-Screen advertising

I would pay to remove these ads from the home screen.  Is that possible today ?

Yes. You should not see any commercial ads if you buy some credit or get a subscription.

Re: Your New On-Screen advertising

I wouldnt mind the ads if they didn't push the person I'm talking to off the viewing screen. I have to open another window to view them through the mini video box. It's rediculous
