Volume too low...

The volume of Skype is too low. Not just the voice. I've raised the volume of everything to max, but even so Skype is barely hearable. Everything else is deafening.

In the audio mixer the volume of Skype is shown to get to max when emiting sound, but it is so very low...

I use windows 7.

Please help.

Re: Volume too low...

I have a similar issue.  With all other applications on my computer the audio is excellent. Using Skype with my headphones (USB) the sound is excellent but through the speaker on my laptop it is almost inaudible.  All setting are adjusted to max on both computer and Skype.  Sounds like there is a common problem here.

Re: Volume too low...

I had the same problem (skype 5.8.0.865)

I could fix it in skype preferences where the volume was set too low

Re: Volume too low...

I have a similar problem on an iPad 2, (useveral iOS releases up to 6)  so this may not be a Windows-specific problem. The maximum volume of Skype is noticably less than that of other apps.

Re: Volume too low...

I fixed this issue on my macbook by opening the system preferences and adjusting the sound balance (which was was almost all the way over to the left side).

Hey guys. the answer is to adjust your balance in sound settings one notch to the left or right of center. Once I did that the issue was fixed. I know have full volume!
