Video is not clear and blurry

Webcam: Microsoft Lifecam HD-5000

Camera control: Auto Focus

Video Setting: Truecolor (auto)

Net Speed: 10.92 MBPS

 

On my end, the video is very clear and true with no lags or blurr.  when skyping with my husband the video is very blurry and lags. This just started happening and unclear why. Our skype is up-to-date. It just started to happened. We skype almost the same time everyday, but today, it just gotten bad. Any suggestions? we have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and also checked our net speed. The only thing i could think of is that i changed to a new router, but figured that could not be it because everything works fine. Any suggestions?

im having the same problem since I changed my isp out going is perfect only incoming a bit blurry everything else good

I'm experiencing the same problem everytime I skype my sister. They are blurry and the connection is slow. We both have new computers, new webcams, and new routers. Skype is telling us that our connection is too slow for video but both our computers have full bars on our internet connection indicators. It happens every time and its so annoying not to be able to see them. Please help!

This is usually, but not always, caused by a slow ISP. Go to http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest and check your actual speeds. Keep in mind the speed is limited to the slowest of the computers so if one if fast and the other is slow, you will have a slow connection. The only cure for that is a faster ISP. or contact your ISP for troubleshooting.

This is NOT true since my ISP speed is 14mbps and and the other computer I'm connected with is at 6 mbps. This whole problem of the video getting blurry after a short while is problem with Skype that neither Skype or Microsoft is looking into. It wil cause me to uninstall Skype and use something else if Skype/Microsoft can't get their act together. There is NO reason why Skype video should get blurry on new computers with lots of ram and new hd web cams. Is anyone at Skype/Microsoft actually paying attention and do they even care about this widespread problem with Skype video becoming permanently blurry once a video call is in progress???!!

Blurry, jerky, locking up other software and even the whole computer. Frequently. I use Skype everyday and it's a major irritation.

I am exactly the same as you. It works for 2 minutes everytime then goes blurry only on one side. I am on a 18mbps feed and an 8mbps feed.

so what can be done? They can see me clearly but I see them in a haze, very blurry.
