To test my video transmission capability, I set up SKYPE on both mine and my wife's computer, 5 feet apart, and each with a webcam. Both computers display what their own webcam is seeing, but neither computer displays what the other webcam is seeing.
Am I missing a setting somewhere?
I have the same problem. I am using the same device for video and audio. I've checked it on my computer and both function well. The voice transmission works on skype, but the video doesn't. There is no reception at the other end and tere is no smll echo picture on my skype view. I do receive the transmission from the other computer. What's wrong and how do I fix it??
Which version of Skype are you using?
Which platform (Windows, Mac, Android...) and version of Skype is the other PC using?
Please make sure that both sides are using the latest Skype version.
On the other side, my friend has 2 computers, one is a new Apple desktop and the other runs Windows 7. He has the latest Skype version (he checked both yesterday). Note that if I use my iPad, video works fine, but that is not good for file transfers and file sharing.
My computer is operating on v.220.127.116.11 and there is no upgrade available. My colleague in the UK is running the same. My iPad is running the latest version from the APP Store.
Hi, you should be able to download the latest 6.7 version of Skype from here
