Whenever I call someone I can't hear them--video or normal calling, they can hear/see me and I can see them, but for some reason I can't actually hear them at all. I checked my microphone and speakers are fine, just for some reason Skype doesn't let me hear the incoming caller. Advice?
In Skype go to Tools -> Options -> Audio settings. What volume level is set for Speakers? Can you hear any sound when you press the green button?
I can not hear the person (contact) who is video calling me. They can hear me; but, my computer "SCREAMS" a very high pictch sound unless I turn off my computer volume totally to 0! But, I still can't hear them! What can I do to correct this problem?
This procedure may help some of you unable to hear incoming call when
everything else seems OK.
From initial Skype screen, refer to toolbar:-
Click on 'call'
In the drop-down list click 'audio settings'
In the section called'speakers volume' there may be a choice of several
options - select 'high definition audio device'
This should correct the problem of not hearing incoming calls.
