The other party cannot hear me!

When using Skype on my computer (Windows 7), the other party cannot hear me even though I can hear them without problem.  I followed the suggestion found under Help in Skype.  I was able to record from my computer using Sound Recorder in Accessories in All Programs.  I have no problem calling others using another program.  Please advise what I may do to fix the problem with Skype.

I have the same problem and cannot find anyway to get help. Did you get an answer to your problem and if so would you share it with me?

Re: The other party cannot hear me!

What device do you see selected for your Microphone in Tools -> Options -> Audio settings? Is there more than one option available in the selection box? Can you see any response on the Volume bar when you make any sound?

Re: The other party cannot hear me!

I was using the default microphone setting..(Realtek High Definition Audio) and the built-in cam.  When that didn't work I plugged in my logitech cam and switched the audio to Microphone (Pro for Notbooks. It didn't work either way. But when doing the test call I could hear me on the recording. Yes the little green lights show up across the bar when talking.

Do you have this issue with all of your contacts or only with one?

Re: The other party cannot hear me!

Try to connect your Logitech webcam to another USB port.
