When using Skype on my computer (Windows 7), the other party cannot hear me even though I can hear them without problem. I followed the suggestion found under Help in Skype. I was able to record from my computer using Sound Recorder in Accessories in All Programs. I have no problem calling others using another program. Please advise what I may do to fix the problem with Skype.
What device do you see selected for your Microphone in Tools -> Options -> Audio settings? Is there more than one option available in the selection box? Can you see any response on the Volume bar when you make any sound?
I was using the default microphone setting..(Realtek High Definition Audio) and the built-in cam. When that didn't work I plugged in my logitech cam and switched the audio to Microphone (Pro for Notbooks. It didn't work either way. But when doing the test call I could hear me on the recording. Yes the little green lights show up across the bar when talking.
It is working now. I tried in both usb ports but the sound is not with the lips...lol Looks funny but at least we can hear each other. Thanks for your assistance.
