Re: Taskbar integration in Windows 7 is gone

I have an update on this issue, Skype has now disappeared from the system tray...

I have Skype 5.5.0.113 on Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a HP Pavilion dv7-6143cl computer.

Have you been looking in “Show hidden icons”? Press Customize and make sure that “Show icon and notifications” is selected for Skype.

Yes I just checked that. Skype is running, and no icon shows in the system tray regardless of the options mentioned.

Re: Taskbar integration in Windows 7 is gone

Having this same issue and I am SO ANNOYED.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  Skype auto installed the newer version (it quickly came up while I was typing and I clicked enter).

5.5 is so very frustrating.  Not only am I missing the tasks when right clicking the pinned icon, but now I get this 'Skype Home' dialog that pops up every time I login.  There seems to be no option to disable it and it is completely useless to me.  I have to close it every time I login...

And then there is forcing me to put an image for myself...

I've been really unhappy with the changes in skype 5.5... it even installed toolbars on all my browsers without prompting me.  This kind of stuff makes me start to hate a company.

Is there an update to this topic?  I just updated from 5.3 and I lost my quit skype option as well.

I hope that you know that the issue with Home page is resolved in Skype 5.5.0.119.
