Skype login page hangs due to Internet Explorer's Content Advisor

My company are intending to switch to using Skype when MSN is dhut down, therefore, we're testing the software inter-operability in our department.

I've installed on 2 administrator's PC and things are smooth. However, when I start to implement to 2 more user's PC, the login page will hang after I chose to login using MSN credentials.

I believe it is due to the Internet Explorer's Content Advisor, as once I disable the CA and restart the Skype, it's able to login using MSN Credentials.

Can someone please assist to resolve this matter as the IE's Content Advisors has to be

enable, to prevent users from accessing the internet.

My thanks in advance for all.

Cheers

Re: Skype login page hangs due to Internet Explorer's Content Advisor

try to open the page with IE-32bit and post the result
https://apps.skype.com/home/

https://apps.skype.com/friendfinder/

Please note that, "Add a Contact" option may not work when Content Advisor is turned on.

Re: Skype login page hangs due to Internet Explorer's Content Advisor

I think I found the solution. I allowed few https links to the allowed link in the Content Advisor settings and now I'm able to see the MSN login page. The links are:

https://*.hotmail.com/*
https://*.live.com/*
https://*.skype.com/*

Thank you Tamim for your kind response. I haven't tried your solution as I didn't came back to check on this thread earlier.

This is a known problem with Content Adviser and Skype:

Re: Skype login page hangs due to Internet Explorer's Content Advisor

Tamim,

i'm able to load the "Add A Contact" page after the Content Advisor allowed the live.com, hotmail.com and skype.com url.

Maybe this is the only solution work Content Advisor and Skype to interoperate in the Windows.

Thanks once again for the time and reply on my issue.
