I work in the IT department of our local university and im trying to install Skype 6.2. We don't wont the Skype data folder inside the Windows userprofile because they are roaming and have a limit of 30 MB. So i tried to move the data folder using the "/datapath:"%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Skype" " argument in the startmenu shortcut. This however only works if users actually start Skype using the startmenu. If they use rightclick sendto or a doubleclick on a "uri" there still will be created a new Skype profile in "users\username\appdata\Skype". Does anybody know of a way to avoid this?
Any time Skype is started without the extra /datapath switch, Skype will access the default %appdata%\Skype folder. There is no way to change this behaviour.
