Re: Skype add-in for Internet Explorer has stopped working properly.

Please use this direct link to download the latest versions of Click to Call Plugin

http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-skypetoolbar

just click on the link i have given above, and download it on your "desktop"

when you got it, double click on it (run) and start installation.

Alternatively, Uninstall Click to Call Plugin from the Control Panel.

Re: Skype add-in for Internet Explorer has stopped working properly.

What happens when you are trying to SIGNIN to Skype?
Did you receive any error code / messages?
Were you able to use Skype without any issues earlier?
What’s the recent change that you made to your computer after which this issue has started to occur?

Which version of Internet Explorer installed on your PC?

Press WinKey + R to open the Run window

Type: iexplore.exe and press Enter

Help >> About Internet Explorer

What’s the recent change that you made to your computer after which this issue has started to occur?

I forgot to ask, what anti-virus application or security suite is installed on your computer.

Re: Skype add-in for Internet Explorer has stopped working properly.

I got it to work! Yay! :cathappy: I went on my programs and took a look at some recent updates my computer made and removed them. Also to answer your question, I had McAfee installed on my computer. After I uninstalled it, skype started working. Strange thing is my subscription was up so I didnt think it was working or causing any problems. Apparently it did. Do you think the outdated McAee program caused the issue? Just curious for future reference.

You are very welcome.

Yes, McAfee blocks Skype to connect.
