I have been having a problem with signing into Skype since I have updated it a few days ago. I put in my password and click "Sign me in," and after about 1-2 minutes of loading, it says, "Skype can't connect." Is there anything I can do about that?

I use McAfee. Go to Action Menu > View Application List. At this point you should see a list of programs installed in your computer. Find the Skype files and check all boxes related to Skype which are blocked. Then click "Approve" and Skype should work after that.

I am experiencing the same problem; have only used Skype for the past month with no issues. A few days ago, I went to sign in and it said Can't connect to Skype. I am also using McAfee. As I am new to this, not too good at troubleshooting. Not sure where the Action Menu is...is this in McAfee or in Skype. Would you be so kind to direct me so I can see if this fixes my problem.
Step 1: Click "Action Menu" (It is hightlighted in yellow)
Step 2: Click "View Application List" (Circled in red)
Step 3 and 4: Search for the Skype files and see which ones are "blocked. Check the boxes which are "blocked" (as circled in yellow). Then click "approve" (as circled in yellow).
