I reinstalled the previous skype version to replace it with the latest version.
Affter completing the downloading, I tried to execute the skypesetup file. The message that I receive is: "skypesetup is not valid win32 application".
(I have windows 7 32 bit - and I download the windows version)
I thought that the new version would be better with no problems...
Is there any way to find the older version?
Even though I’m not sure how general the workaround suggested here is, you may always try and see if this helps.
I see that the downloaded skypeSetup file size is 115 kb instead of 1 mb during saving...
It seems that the file is corrupted..
I found a solution. I downloaded from this site...it works...
It seems that the problem is to related to the original skype site.
They provide to their users a corrupted setup file to download....
Never, ever download bits for skype, or anything else, from a third party site. You're just begging for trouble. Let the creator of the software fix it.
