Problem with recording device

My skype keeps saying this: "Problem with recording device" whenever I call out with video.

 

System Specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

AMD Athlon II

Philips SPZ2000 Webcam and Microphone combo

Logitech LS11 speakers

Skype 6

Please run this FixIT.

 

Automatically diagnose and fix Skype audio and webcam issues

 

try to set the sound input to microphone.

 

In the call, Click Call quality >> Microphone >> Set the input to your microphone.

I wonder why not...

If manycam dosent work we are taking it back to argos, because it said compatible with skype on it.

Have you tried my previous post?

 

Please install ManyCam

http://download2.manycam.com/ManyCamStandaloneSetup.exe

 

Choose ManyCam as the audio source

 

In Skype, Click Tools >> Options... >> Audio settings >> Select ManyCam Virtual Microphone.

Choose ManyCam as the video source

 

In Skype, Click Tools >> Options... >> Video settings >> Select ManyCam Virtual Webcam.

Whenever I try to make a call or attempt the echo test-I get the message problem with recording device.  I have downloaded the latest software to no avail.  PLEASE HELP.

What device do you have selected for your Microphone in Tools -> Options -> Audio settings? Is there more than one option available in the selection box? Can you see any response on the Volume bar when you make any sound?

When I video call someone and they accept the call drops. When they video call me and I accept it drops and I get a message "Problem with recording device". I Tools > Audio Settings > Microphones I have "Line In (high definition audio device" selected.. HELP!
