Re: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

I have the same issue with the following crash info:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

  Application Name: Skype.exe

  Application Version: 5.5.0.124

Application Timestamp: 4e96a02b

  Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll

  Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.17651

  Fault Module Timestamp: 4e211319

  Exception Code: 0eedfade

  Exception Offset: 0000b9bc

  Additional Information 3: 5852

  Additional Information 4: 5852e2c97a40a97955e63bde9876f4d1

It appears that Microsoft pushed some "Important" updates recently.  However, if I login as a different user, the program doesn't crash.  I removed and reinstalled, but same problem.

I hate the thought of having to create a new profile...

Re: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

[ Edited ]

Having the same issue since last night.  Sounds like a windows update is causing this maybe?

Uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  Couldn't get it to work with our existing profile.  Created a new profile and it seems to work ok.

If there is a way to fix our existing profile please let us know.

Re: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

I received this exact message on my Win7 Pro 32bit Dell laptop.  I believe it was related to Windows updates earlier this week.  Downloaded Beta 5.7 and all my troubles went away.

Re: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

At the moment the quickest method to fix this is to install the beta version from here:

Re: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

There is no fix for this, other than installing a buggy beta??  What is the cause??  windows update or skype update?
