I have a logitech webcam, new. I've used it before and the feed hasn't been blurry, but now, it's blurry. How can I fix this?
There can be a number of issues causing a blurry image.
What model Logitech?
If you run a test at www.speedtest.net, what results do you get, up and download speed and ping?
If you click on Tools > Options > Video settings, is your own video there clear or blurry?
Does the problem happen with more than one contact or only one?
Ok, I ran the speedtest. My upload speed is .62 and my download speed is 5.80. Not sure what any of that means.
When I go to options and look at video settings, it is blurry there. I only use it for one contact, but it does happen with them.
Not sure what model. I bought it within the last two years.
In Tools > Options > Video settings, what does it say in the Select webcam box?
Or click on Windows Start and type device manager <enter>. Expand the entry for Imaging devices. What webcam does it show there?
Since you see your own video blurry in Video options the problem is with your webcam or its' settings. There's nothing more I can offer if you can't come up with the make and model of the webcam.
Yes, it helps.
In Skype click on Tools > Options > Video settings again, and click on Webcam settings. Does that bring up a Logitech control panel with, among other features, an auto-focus box that can be checked or unchecked?
If so, make sure the auto-focus box is checked. If that doesn't fix the problem, uncheck the auto-focus box and try sliding the manual focus button left or right to see if any position clears up your webcam's video.
