How to do recording in Windows Movie Maker using a webcam and by connecting via Skype?

I can do recording of myself in Windows Movie Maker using a webcam and by selecting the capture video from video device function.  But what if I need to record another party on Skype?  My colleague and I made the connection via Skype and a webcam, after which I opened Windows Movie Maker and selected capture video from video device but it couldn't recognize any device and recording could not be done.

reason: during a skype video call, the only device that WMM would use, your cam, is no longer available since already used by skype.

anyway, what you are looking for is not to capture the input of your cam, but yours contact's video image on your desktop, right? this can be accomplished by one of the third party "skype recorders", or with a capturing software for the whole desktop. compare one of multiple threads on this topic:
