Auto adjusting sound levels

Everytime I make a call on Skype it changes all my sound levels to be really quiet, I then have to manually turn everything up. I can't understand whats wrong. I have disabled skype from taking control of my sound (In the sound menu on windows) I have also disabled skype from auto adjusting anything (Using the settings in Skype).

Any suggestions welcome.

Running Windows 7.

Re: Auto adjusting sound levels

Using Windows Sound Control Panel, open the Communications tab. Select the appropriate option for what Windows will do when communication activity is detected.
