I'm trying to share audio in a group video call, so I change my microphone input to stereo mix because that should capture system audio as well as my microphone. But instead stereo mix results in losing all audio input to Skype. No mic, no system audio. Nothing.
Without audio the videos are pointless. So is Skype, for my purposes.
Is there a setting or something I need to toggle to make this work, or is Skype incapable of capturing/sharing anything besides microphone audio?
in the Sounds >> Communications tab (Windows), try to select "Do Nothing". By default it is set to "mute" all sounds when Windows detects any communication activity (which I think a Skype call is included).
