Sorry...I missed you'd already said the webcam works on its' own in your original post.

If your not already running it, try installing Skype beta 5.7.0.123.  You can get it here:

www.skype.com/go/getskype-beta

If the problem persists, you could uninstall the webcam through Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows find and reinstall the webcam.

Re: ASUS Laptop Integrated Webcam

If in Skype you go to Tools > Options > Video settings, what do you see in the box next to Select Webcam?

Re: ASUS Laptop Integrated Webcam

Do you see your webcam in Device Manager under Imaging Devices?

Do you have any other video programs you can use to test your webcam to see if it's still working?

Re: ASUS Laptop Integrated Webcam

I have a question:

I have an ASUS laptop as well. However, whenever I try to video chat with someone, my camera is being shown to both me and the other person as upside; my image appears this way. Is there some way that this can be remedied?

It sounds positive that the webcam is working in Skype now.  Standing by for good news when you make your next video call.
