Won't run in background

it can not be defined as background task in system settings - goes offline as soon as the screen turns dark.

This is certainly a most important feature.

Thank you -  I just noticed that this is already mentioned in the list.

I hope this feature will be implemented in near future - the rest of the App looks quite nice and calls work well.

Lumia 710 - working very well. Crystal sound - better then Android devices with Skype app. Proximity sensor isn't working in app, because of that very fast battery drain.

So not even the final version of Skype that will be released in april will have background support? I think this would be a big limitation... not being able to recieve a call if you don't have skype on the foreground!

if you look at Lync 2010 for Windows Phone 7. That runs in the background without problems. Since Lync and Skype offer similar functionality. I expect the same background usage functionality.
