Skype doesn't Login from my Nokia Lumia 800

I've downloaded and installed Skype for Windows Phone on my new Lumia 800.

But I am not able to login

This happens on both 3G and Wi-Fi, even when the network strength is maximum.

Tried reinstalling the app but no use !!! 

Please help.

I am also facing the same problem in my nokia lumia 800, I have tried out all the possible options available but the native skype application doesn't work rather skype in IM+ works for me. But it is only meant for skype chat, we cant make calls from that.

I am not sure whether is there any connecion settings which needs to be allowed to connect. Pls HELP!!

I too am facing the same problem. After providing the skype user id and password in lumia 710, the signing in button gets grayed out, but it doesn't log in. Afterwards it is saying that please check network settings. This happens on 3G with good network strength and Wi-Fi. Please somebody provide a way out. Desperately need to get this working. Is it a problem of Skype server or anything like that?

Hi, Since last few days I have same problem on my LG. I can't login using data connection 3G but can login using Wi-Fi. When Skype fails to login with message check your data connection, all other applications like IM+ works perfectly. I re-installed the Skype but without any luck. I am using Skype for a while and never had such login issues but first time experienced on last Monday and now login with 3G is not possible at all.

Which mobile internet provider (and in which country) are you with? We've recently heard about some providers starting to block Skype on their networks.

I have same type of error with my lumia 800 and I am using vodafone 3g in INDIA

Same problem with Vodafone 3g. However I have no issues when using wi-fi. Vodafone seems in denial about this problem. Interestingly this issue is relatively recent. I am not sure, but I wonder if these issues are related to the latest skype update....
