Background running not available for window phone 7.5

When I leave Skype in background my status is offline.when I return to Skype program automatically sign me back.it's too difficult to chat with people in contact.

I use window phone mango 7.5 device HTC hd7.

Same issue on Nokia Lumia 800. Trying to use this, but is impossible when you can't use the rest of your phone!

it still rings for the caller but doesnt ring for us.

i know this is beta version, but want to inform skype that, cover this for sure.

agree, this function seems to be missing entirely in the current version (0.2.0.1)

Really important feature to have (currently iOS allows voice calling in background, but hold video stream while operating in background which is annoying). Would really like to be able to stay signed on and receive calls on my WP7 phone, etc. Hope it gets added in soon!

I am guessing that since Microsoft purchased Skype that the Skype application will get some elevated priveleges.  It seems kind of pointless to have to have the Skype WP7 application running in the foreground to be able to use it.  You should be able to just make it a live tile and hook into the rest of the device to make it work just like a *gasp* phone!

This is very basic feature and moreover when application is also on Microsoft platform. Skype should work on this on urgent basis.

Actually the ebst thing would just be to merge the **bleep** skype app with the messaging app.

No background execution or even push notifications of new messages makes this useless as an IM and video chat app.  I'd like to see this just integrated into the Messaging hub like my Facebook is.
