Hi, I suggest using Skype for Desktop with the Virtual cameras
I am using Skype for Desktop. My point was to bring it up so that maybe you guys would fix the issue, rather than just tell me to not use your product. But, if you don't want me to use your product, by all means keep those type of responses coming.
You could at least say that you will pass along the information to the development team, to see if it can get addressed.
Which version of Skype are you using?
Which platform (Windows, Mac, Android...) and version of Skype is the other side using?
Please make sure that both you and the other side are using the latest Skype version.
I have exchanged a few mails with the HERCULES support, including screen copies and driver details.
The Support has sent a new version 18.104.22.168 of its driver for the Hercules Dualpix Infinite webcam, and... NO CHANGE AT ALL.
The webcam is still perfectly detected by Skype (v 22.214.171.124) but the video remains definitely BLACK...
It seems that Skype has a lot of problems with their new versions on a lot of webcams...
Any ideas ?
You can try with the latest 6.7 version of Skype that you can download here
It cannot be a device fault because the webcam works perfectly under Linux, and under windows when I use its proprietary application.
Therefore I have no solution, except to change my webcam for another brand and model...
Can you tell me the brand/model of your WORKING webcam: at least I will be sure to order a working one !...
It is a pity to see such a mess...
YES : Skype has been updated up to v 126.96.36.199 and the problems is still the same...
I will try with another webcam this weekend: although the webcam runs perfectly, there might be an issue with its driver ?...
Any other idea is welcome...
Can you please provide logs as described in this link https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12321/how-do-i-
Here are the logs files as requested.
I have started the Skype client, then I went to "Tools/Options" then "Video" where Skype recognizes the Webcam but where the small video preview remains black.
Just tell me if you need anything else,
