Video does not boot up or when up freezes

At first use, video came on immediately, but then after about 7-8 minutes it froze.  Now when making a video call it takes forever for my video to display. Incoming video has no problem.

If you're not already running the latest version, 5.8.0.154, try updating to it to see if that fixes your problem.  You can download the installer here:

Kudos to you for trying to help.  I did as you said > went to link to download the 'newest' version, but was informed by the site that my installed version was newer.  So I still have the same issue.  Just got a video call and could not get my video up.  Again I had no issue with seeing the caller - but she couldn't see me. 

Thanks anyway, and if you do have any other suggestions, please pass them on.

By the way, in your current installation, if you click on Help > About Skype, what version does it show you have?
