I just want to make sure we are talking about the right company.

It may be because of your country's Law related with VOIP Services.... They might have blocked skype in ISPs..

Maroc Telecom get a step back, and says they don't block anything

They block it any way, telling this is not in contract, that skype is not internet, or says there is technical problems. They do not block every body, but progressively, more and more users enccounters problems then cannot connect anymore.

To get skype, you have to pass through a vpn (there's some free, search on the web), or buy a 3G connection at INWI, or MEDITEL, it works fine !!! For society, who needs high speed connection, there is satellite connection http://www.nortis.ma/ I guess you will have skype with them, they have services for call centers.

I went already 2 times, and give letters to ask skype services, I gave an ultimatum for the end of the month, If I don't have skype, I will stop Maroc Telecom services and goes to other operators. Please, go to local office and do the same. Ask them to make a copy of your letter and gives it you back with stamp.

i have same probleme with IAM provider i know tey close acces with skype.to sail their service to phone to France....and skype anser me last week they could'nt make nothing !!! but i pay Skype every month and i could'nt phone to landline in France...what to do ???

To the gentleman from Morocco: SOBs are running your country. Just like in Yemen where I am. The easiest thing to do in download Hotspot Shield or PaperBus. It will bypass the blocking. Your connection will be slower but you will manage to make calls. The SOBs block skype for ordinary people like you and me but they can use govt. telcom to make FREE calls; even when they travel. Hi hnajee, I wanted to know if you have found any better strategies for using Skype in Yemen. Does your current strategie work for computers as well as smart phones? If I bought a smart phone in Dubai would there be anything I could do to it to make Skype work that would avoid the issues with ads and slowing the connection speed? I am considering moving to Yemen in a few months but I NEED Skype for business reasons and I need a good speed both on a smart phone and a wired laptop connection. 5 or 6 years ago I could use Skype just fine in Yemen, but two years ago I could not and some of my friends could. We never figured out why, though there was some speculation that it had to do with the versions of Skype we had on our respective computers.
