skype highlighting in email

I have a signature in my hotmail account.  Whenever I use the word "phone" or provide a phone number in the body of the email text, my signature is all messed up.  It will include "end of skype highlighting" in my signature after my phone number (which is part of my signature).  Then my signature does not read well and doesn't make sense.  How can I avoid this?

I am trying to use SKYPE to call friends in Switzerland. And I am not able to use my SKYPE to do so. Is there a country code? Or is there a special way to use SKYPE to call Europe from Israel? Can somene help me?
