I've downloaded the latest Skype version on my Dell laptop with windows 7. The screen appears login and after bringing in my username and password I get the screen with the system.

This is aswell in Explorer as Google Chrome. Can you help me?

Download and Reinstall the new Skype 5.7 beta version. See if it helps.
