entered an invalid number

On the skype website where I can change my account details.  It took me about an hour of poking around Bing followed by some trial and error, but I finally figured out how to enter phone numbers into the site.  It is the plus sign (+) followed by country code for me in the us it is (1) followed by my areacode and phone number (9876543210) resulting in +19876543210.  It would be nice if you fine folks at Skype could put examples and perscriptive detail on how to enter the correct value.  Also, in my browser, the error message is hidden behind the next field region.

Thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear that you encountered a few interruptions in your interaction. Which browser on which operating system were you using?

Re: entered an invalid number

Thank God I read this. I was beginning to get pissed. I knew the country area code, but I have seen so many ways that people have been telling me to enter the phone number after the +1 that is was getting ridiculous. Thanks.

Re: entered an invalid number

Same problem. This is VERY frustrating.

To the Admin:

It doesn't matter which browser, etc.

We need an EXAMPLE FORMAT for the phone number.

Thanks for paying attention.
