I read the help directions, but the Menu that they refer to is no where to be found. I've been trying to figure this out for 1/2 hr. I used 2 different browsers including Firefox. WTF???
Solved! Go to Solution.

1. open and login to the Skype application (not the website)
2. click the Skype menu, select Profile >> Edit Your Profile
3. Your Profile window will open where you can change your profiile picture, and other details on your Skype account.

The instructions above applied to the Windows version of Skype, not a phone.
What kind of device are you using with Skype? Mac? Wndows PC?
Please note: I do not respond to requests for help via Private Message.

I have never been able to change my photo or delete my photo from my profile.
I also have found there is no way to delete people from my contact list.
I really find this Skype useless and full of bugs and I would tell everyone to stay away from it

It would have been helpful for you to add which version of Skype you are using, and on which operating system.
I have never been able to change my photo or delete my photo from my profile.

I also have found there is no way to delete people from my contact list.
- Highlight the unwanted name on your contact list. Right click, then click Remove From Contacts.

While Skype may not be perfect in everyone's estimation, I beg to differ with your appraisal that Skype is "full of bugs." By definition, a "bug" is different from a missing feature or other gadget used in another program or seen elsewhere. Not knowing how to do something does not qualify said item as a "bug." I use and have used Skype every day for years.
