audio suppression (echo cancelation??) preventing normal conversation!!

Not sure what has changed - but now Skype doesn't work like a telephone, what I mean by that is, the other person cannot hear me until the other person stops talking. There is some sort of audio suppression that (may be echo cancelation) prevents a normal conversation so that I cannot interupt my friend while he/she is speaking.

It is totally annoying and I want to fix this and go back to having normal conversations... where each person can hear the other in real time without some automatic suppressor is activated without my permission - which might be handy if there is a lot of background noise , but that isn't the case... it is quiet and clean.

assuming that you are ruinning the Windows client, during your next problem call, enable Call Technical Info (see menu pick under Call command) and then right click/copy the info to clipboard, and paste into your next post
