Volume Slider?

I'm using the new Skype and it seems the volume slider isn't there. The little one that's there when I'm in a call, I used that all the time to mute my friends if I want to watch a video or something and they're being noisy. Where did this go? I tried to submit this through the "Feedback" on Skype but it insists I don't have an internet connection...

Oh, thanks. I didn't notice that. But I still think that the icon shouldn't of been removed, it even stated it was convenient, and there doesn't seem to be a reason to remove it at all. But I guess that's just my opinion.

yes, you are correct.  a lot of users also thinks that the old design is better.  Let us just consider that the new design would be useful for other users who might be experiencing problems regarding call quality, other than the speaker volume itself.

I also would like the volume slider to come back to the call screen. I miss being able to mute the call if I want to watch netflix while in the call without having to go to tools>options. It was so much more convenient to have it in the call screen. I  installed the old version to get the volume slider back, but then everytime I log into skype it asks me to update, and sometimes just does it automatically. It's getting annoying.

Hi Primemover,

To you post (above), you mentioned that you were going to think about adding the volume slider back to the original location.  Have you decided yet?  It's been 6 months.  Our company (30+ people) all use Skype, but many hate the fact that you removed the volume slider and it now takes 3 clicks to change the volume where it used to take one. 

Half of our team never upgraded to the new version because of this change.  I also have not upgraded on my laptop because of the screwy change you made.
