Voicemail

I'm set up for voicemail but it doesn't kick in - phone just keeps on ringing.

I have exactly the same problem, it has been like it for months, I have disabled call forwarding too

I had the same difficulty. I use skype with a Belkin phone. I found that there is a configuration that you have to do in the phone. Where it says "forward call to voicemail" you have to set it to yes.

Thanks for info - I did find that option on my phone, activated it but it still doesn't work.  I'm not sure if the problem lies with my line provides - I live in Spain and the line automatically has a voicemail service but it can be de-activated.  So, I've tried it both ways, but still no luck.  I'm thinking of just going  back to an ordinary phone and using Skpe through my computer 'cos I've had nothing but problems since I installed the 'phone, one of the biggest being in the call quality of incoming calls - really bad.

Skype is horrible, I have been loosing business voicemails from customers for a while. Skype has admitted there is a bug in the software and that voicemails dissapear. Their solution is I set up call forwarding to another phone - honestly, they said I should set up another phone line and have my Skype calls forwarded to it to fix their bad software!!

I just enrolled with skype and set up voice message.  I have a skype phone.  The voice message settings are to leave voice message if I "reject" a call but when I do this, it just rings a 'fast busy' sound to the caller.

Anyone have a GE Skype phone with voice messaging working?
