Unable to install Skype in my Windows 7 Vaio laptop

Please help me as I am unable to install Skype in my Viao laptop from the last 3 month. I was using a old version of skype when I updated it. Aftr launching the application, I could not find the login window as a screen having skype symbol only is shown. The problem still persists.

Kindly help me ASAP.

The problem is with your Internet Explorer and JavaScript.

Be careful with selecting the correct procedure corresponding to your Windows system and the version of Internet Explorer.

Dear Sir I am also facing same problem on sony vaio SVE15113 Series laptop. It is just keep on installing without any error or message. I tried the link above but could not find it working.

Unfortunately, the Knowledge Base Article this link was referring to, was deleted some time ago. Are you also seeing a blank login page as the original poster? If so, then answer first these questions:

What version of Windows are you on? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.
