I did not notice myself but I think Skype should have a sign in as invisible just incase you don't want certain people to see you signing on but do wish to have a call with someone in specific. The reason is because when you sign on other users will see that as if you sign on invisible they will not know you signed on.
If this is already a feature where can this be done?
I too would have liked this feature.
Since it doesn’t exist I found a workaround.
Before you close Skype, set your status to Invisible or Offline. Then when you start Skype again and use the automated login, your status will be as you left it before closing Skype.
Not as neat as having the feature, but works for me.

Hi, Joeginley, and RenePeterson,

From what I have read in other threads, if you sign out (log off) with your status set to "invisible," your status ought to be the same the next time you sign in.
