Skype Credit and Subscriptions

I have a 3 month subscription and it said it cost $3.27...$1.09/month but Skype charged me $3.51 and also I was charged a fee from my bank of 11 cents.

I need to know why Skype charges more than it says on the website.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Also since it took me an hour to finally find out how to ask a question on here how do I know if Skype is using my Skype Credit for a call or using my Subscription?

I am in the Philippines but am just visiting so I set my acct. as English American and not English International.   Does it matter which one I choose?

Thanks

I'm going to take a guess and say the subscription had a VAT (tax) added to it, and your bank charged an international fee.  Skype is based in Luxembourg and payments go there.

But if you want a more authoritative answers, contact Customer Service starting with this link:

Re: Skype Credit and Subscriptions

Thanks!!  I looked and they didn't charge VAT.  It says 0 charge but it was in Euros and not in Dollars.  It was my first subscription so I might have bought in Euros but they renewed in dollars.

How can I find out which plan they are charging me out of.  My credit or subscription.  Where is the list of countries that they charge me from my subscription instead of credit. I would rather be charged from subscription than credit if there is a way to do it. Thanks
