Problems connecting through firewall and question skype via group policy

Hi all,

trying to get skype business edition to work in our work network. Firewall only allows specified ports out, and workstations have essentially no direct access to the internet.

Using group policy we've pushed out the inbound port option, skype supernode and proxy GP options but still no dice.

There's no direct www access - it is via a squid proxy. It doesn't have SOCKS capability.

If i enable direct 80/443 access for a test PC it *sometimes* works - for example yesterday our test skype box logged on fine, today it doesn't work...

So... is there a way of configuring skype either via the application, registry or group policy to only use a specified port range for outbound connections?

Enabling carte blanche outbound access simply isn't going to happen, so what options do we have to make this work?

Thanks,

Chris
